Ángel Custodio (Guardian Angel) sculpture in Centro Puebla de Zaragoza. The controversial Monument of the Angel Custodio was erected in 2003 by the Mexican artist Enrique Carbajal Sebastian on the Boulevard 5 de Mayo, between the Barrio de Analco and Avenida Juan de Palafox y Mendoza. Not popular at the time but since its become an Emblem of the city of Puebla. The name of the monument is a tribute to the patron of the Church of the Barrio de Analco, "Santo Ángel de Custodio", which is located in front of the monument. Enrique Carvajal, Sebastián, is a Chihuahuan artist specializing in monumental architecture and has made projects in San Antonio, Dallas and Osaka; In DF the Red Lion on Paseo de la Reforma. Eight states of the Mexican Republic have a statue by Sebastián.
