This sculpture is at the east end of the Zocalo in Centro Puebla de Zaragoza. Its titled "La Senda de Angeles" (The Path of Angels) by Dutch born, Mexico City based sculptor Jan Hendrix. The sculpture honours Ángeles Espinosa Yglesias Rugarcía (1942-2007). A resident of Puebla, she was a devoted patron of the arts, sponsored efforts to conserve Puebla's historic patrimony and was a founder and director of nearby Amparo Museum. Set in a grove of trees, the curved, white-painted, metal walls cut into intricate patterns for an interesting open feeling. The bright white makes for nice contrast from the foliage.
