Next stop on the spring 2025 Mexico visit is to Puebla de Zaragoza,, the 4th largest city in Mexico approximately 100K east of Mexico City. The city has many museums the UNESCO World Heritage Site historic centre and is the origin of Talavera pottery in Mexico. The city has one of the nicest Zocalos in Mexico. Battle of Puebla, (05 May, 1862), was fought at Puebla between the army of the liberal government headed by Benito Juárez, lead by Ignacio Zaragoza and the French forces sent by Napoleon III to establish a French satellite state in Mexico. The battle ended in a Mexican victory and is celebrated in the national calendar of Mexican holidays as Cinco de Mayo (5th of May).
