Museo de la Revolución ★ Casa de los Hermanos Serdán

Aquiles Serdán and his family were leaders of the planned revolt against Porfirio Diaz's regime. On November 18, 1910 Mexican troops came for them, a four hour gun battle ensued. He was killed at his home in Puebla, along with part of his family, by the federal army, who discovered his involvement in Madero's movement. He was the first martyr of the revolution. He is considered a Mexican national hero. The gunfire-raked front of the house can be seen 100+ years later. The house is open as a museum and everything is as he left it when he was killed..
